The Hawaiian green sea turtle or honu, is an endangered species. It lives close to shore on all the Hawaiian Islands and is seen and enjoyed by thousands of divers and snorkelers. Notice the intricacy of the wood burning that is used to create scales on its fins. We offer two box sizes in this design: medium or large. Please see measurements in the description below.
Originating from ancient Chinese secret lock boxes these simplified puzzle boxes feature a secret key that is used to unlock the box. Once unlocked, the top layer will slide off to reveal a hidden chamber. Our puzzle boxes feature an intarsia surface with designs created with various types of wood. It is also the only box that is cut out from a solid piece of wood which ensures durability. This will prevent warping and splitting during fluctuations in temperature. The inner compartment in our boxes is lined with spray velvet. These boxes can serve as jewelry boxes, treasure boxes or as a beautiful table or bookshelf statement piece.

Each piece of wood is meticulously hand contoured and carefully assembled to create multi-dimensional artwork. The beauty and uniqueness of our artwork comes strictly from the natural colors and grains of various wood types. No staining or painting is involved, only an oil finish is used to ensure the beauty as the wood ages. Wood burning is used for small details such as the scales of a fish or turtle, etc. Each piece of artwork is stamped on the back with our Le Family logo.
*Please note that this is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. The shape and workmanship are exactly as shown here but because of the different grains and shapes in the exotic woods employed, there will always be some variation in color.

Care + Instructions
Using a dry soft cloth, rub the surface with a minimal amount of lemon oil to preserve the natural beauty and shine of the wood. This should be done twice a year or as often as you prefer.

Import Duties & Taxes

Tracking & Notifications
Every order is fully trackable. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If your order ships in multiple packages, each package will have its own tracking number. If you don’t receive a shipping confirmation immediately, your order is still being processed and will arrive within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout.

Order Changes & Cancellations
If you need to modify or cancel an order, please contact our customer support team as soon as possible. Orders can only be canceled before they ship. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible, but you may request a return after the item is delivered.

Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected:
- In-store returns are refunded to the original form of payment or issued as a gift card.
