These arrived right away, so I had them in time for a trip that I was planning. After life-long insomnia concerns, I was so happy to find Alteril. Taking it about an hour before bed works well for me. I get tired enough to fall asleep and often sleep through the night. I have been using this product for about six months and recommend it highly.

Been dealing with insomnia for years, & I’ve tried multiple sleep aids, prescription and OTC. I remembered hearing about this a while back & when I finally found it, decided to give it a try. This stuff has really worked for me. I’m thinking it’s all about the combination of these particular ingredients. I actually have only been taking one instead of the recommended 2 and it is working. Alteril works well but sometimes leaves you with a slight headache in the morning

This product works very well for me since it includes l-triptaphan and valerian. I still need to take Ambien but was able to reduce from 7.5mg to 5mg while taking this supplement. It’s a little pricy but works well for me.

There is no flavor with this sleep-aid. It is easy to swallow with a glass of water. I slept very well and I have issues with insomnia that have worsened since the start of the Pandemic. Every persons experience can vary. For myself, I have been using these for years. Not every night just when I need that extra push to quite my mind. If I'm concerned about having to get up early, i'll take just one. But all that said my adult son can't take them, he has strange dreams when trying to use these. But, like I stated everyone is different. Its worth trying to see if this works for you. So happy to not take an additive RX.

They’re gel caps so they taste like nothing and are easier to swallow. We start feeling it in about 15-20 min after we take it. Which is very quick (fast acting.)We used to buy just the original Alteril (in a blue and yellow box instead of orange). Those are tablets and smell and taste nasty. But still did the job. The only difference is that we’ll fall asleep great and for a while but doesn’t necessarily help keep you asleep throughout the night. The gels is almost like a time release or something. Anyway I cannot say enough great things about this product.Good luck finding these in the store also. Most stores like Walmart or Walgreens will carry the tablets and are like $25 dollars. I've been using this for a couple of months. I go to sleep and stay asleep. I take one a night and I don't have drowsiness the next day.

The regular dose is 2 tabs. Only 3 tabs works for me. Asleep within an hour and ability to go back to sleep twice during the night.

This item is the Alteril softgel capsules. I find these to be far more effective than the tablets which were for a long time the only version Amazon sold. With these I fall asleep in a timely fashion. I used to get these at Target but they no longer carry them. I'm not sure they really help me with sleep quality, but that's not a reflection of the product Amazon is vending.

I have had bad insomnia for years. I hate using prescription drugs. This works for me. I do awaken however it is much easier to get back to sleep and I don't wake up with a hangover

I use this product to help me get a full night's rest. It helped me fall asleep but I still woke up after5-6 hours. Facts are out there now that good sleep is the best thing for our health. As important as it is to eat and drink water. It helps give it a try all natural and good combination of herbs to assist good sleep.

I was on a prescription medication for years. After reading more facts on my prescription I knew I wanted to get off of it. I had a Dr tell me about this sleep aid and she had here 92 year old mother on this medicine. What I did was take half of the RX drug and then added this sleep aid. Then I cut the RX in half again and did this until I was completely off the RX. I have been on Alteril for 3 or 4 years and its the best change I have made. Did does not make you loopy it calms you, calms you brain and you drift of to a nice nights sleep. No hang over the next morning, in fact I wake up earlier and no fog brain. I get these when have rough nights I've been using them for years now and they still work like a charm but this one order came earlier than expected so I'm happy with that and the product as well since it stays true to its boxing and all beatt sleep supplement ive ever taken!

After many decades of insomnia I have finally found relief. I take two of these capsules just before bed and I’m asleep within an hour. I have never been able to fall asleep without drugs and even then there was no guarantee. But ALTERIL really works. And I stay asleep at least six hours which for me is a miracle. This is my second box and won’t be my last. TRY IT

I work nights so it can be hit or miss for sleep. I will say that it does help if I am sleepy for these to work,but they do work! I am happy with the price and I've purchased them for several months now. I am happywith this product.

I have lots of health problems that have led to HORRIBLE insomnia. The "All New" orange box of Alteril is the ONLY thing that has helped me get ACTUAL sleep in over 15 years!My drs have tried me on numerous scripts that made me feel disgusting and didn't really help. They came and most had melted or leaked. The company was awesome and sent a replacement, but I had the same issue with the 2nd shipment. HOWEVER, I'm in Texas and it's Summer, so might not be a year round issue (probably should be shipped with a gel cooling pack or something?). Also, for me, they don't work that great. Again, probably just me - I have insomnia that most prescription sleep aids don't help with. They DO help me fall asleep, but if I get woken up, it's almost impossible to fall back asleep.
